Welcome to Artsy Languages Inc., <\/strong>a nonprofit<\/strong> organization that <\/span>offers cross-cultural educational enrichment programming <\/strong>to school-aged children. <\/strong>Through our unique cutting-edge curricula, students learn life skills (focused on social-emotional, language<\/strong>, and communication skills<\/strong>) through the Creative Arts<\/strong>.\u00a0 \u00a0Our programs also help students gain a clearer sense of individual purpose<\/strong> and direction<\/strong> in context with what today\u2019s multicultural<\/strong> world needs. \u00a0We use an integrated, multidisciplinary, whole-brain approach<\/strong> to learning that strives to fill in the gaps<\/strong> of conventional school curricula.\u00a0 Specific programs currently offered are: 1) Artsy English<\/strong> and 2) Artsy Espa\u00f1ol<\/strong>.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

ARTSY ENGLISH<\/strong> is a unique after-school and summer enrichment program in which children in Grades 1-12 learn life skills<\/strong> (focused on social-emotional, language, and communication skills in English) through the Creative Arts<\/strong>.\u00a0 It also helps students gain a clearer sense of individual purpose and direction in context with what today\u2019s world needs on an exploratory level.\u00a0 For high schoolers, Life Skills also include Career & College Readiness<\/strong>.\u00a0 Best yet, it’s FUN!<\/strong><\/p>\n

ARTSY ESPA\u00d1<\/span>OL <\/strong>is Artsy English’s Spanish counterpart<\/strong>.\u00a0 Like Artsy English, its main objective is to develop social-emotional and language skills<\/strong> through the Creative Arts<\/strong> in school-aged children.\u00a0 <\/strong>In this program, the focus is on learning Spanish.\u00a0 Sessions are delivered primarily in Spanish and emphasize communicative competence<\/strong> through fun and immersive Spanish <\/strong>activities.\u00a0 For high schoolers, we emphasize Spanish skills for career and tourism<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Artsy English & Artsy\u00a0<\/strong>Espa\u00f1<\/strong>ol <\/b><\/span><\/span>curricula are structured and strategic, with the goal of learning, practicing, applying, and showcasing specific social-emotional, language, and communication skills that are simultaneously embedded with language-learning targets.\u00a0 Both programs are currently available in two levels: Level 1 <\/strong>(Beginner level in the target language) and Level 2 <\/strong>(Intermediate level to Native Speaker in the target language).\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

ARTSY LANGUAGES LEVEL 1 PROGRAMS (Grades 1-12):\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Our Level 1 programs are for students who are Beginners and\/or early reading proficiency in the target language.\u00a0 Through our cutting-edge twin curricula, all 6 primary language skills in either English or Spanish are learned- Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening, Vocabulary, & Grammar<\/strong> – and immediately applied the fun and natural way through practical and creative activities that students will authentically enjoy.\u00a0 <\/span>These creative activities can be categorized into the following modalities:\u00a0 <\/span>Visual Arts, <\/strong>Music, Drama & Video<\/strong>, <\/strong>and Life Skills.\u00a0 <\/strong>Level 1 programming is typically twice as long as Level 2 to allow more time for language and literacy development and is optimally a 90-hour program, but can be adapted into a shorter or longer session to accomodate students’ or organizational needs.\u00a0 For Level 1, we recommend a minimum level of Kindergarten literacy in the target language regardless of age or school grade.<\/span><\/p>\n

ARTSY LANGUAGES LEVEL 2 PROGRAMS (Grades 1-12):<\/strong><\/p>\n

Level 2 is typically a 45-hour program that teaches social-emotional, language<\/strong> and communication skills<\/strong> more in depth which, like Level 1, are simultaneously learned and expressed through Creative Arts activities modalities of Visual Arts, <\/strong>Music, <\/strong>and Drama & Video.<\/strong>\u00a0 In the elementary cohorts, the Life Skills<\/strong> modality focuses specifically on the skills mentioned above applied to everyday situations in school, with peers, and at home.\u00a0 At the high school level, themes of jobs, career, and\/or college exploration and readiness are a primary component.\u00a0 Level 2 can also be adapted into shorter or longer sessions than our standard 45-hour programming.\u00a0 For Level 2, we recommend a minimum of one year of prior instruction and\/or exposure in the target language regardless of age or school grade.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

PARENT-CHILD PAINTING PARTIES:<\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We also offer pop-up parent-child classes <\/strong>using the Artsy Languages methodology for children and parents of all ages.\u00a0 \u00a0These classes focus on related social-emotional themes<\/strong> that allow parent-child bonding<\/strong> opportunities while simultaneously creating art alongside their loved ones<\/strong>. Fun food typically goes along with the fun! \u00a0 These classes are typically offered during evening and weekend hours to accommodate families’ busy schedules.<\/span><\/p>\n

        COMING IN 2025: Artsy<\/b><\/span><\/span> Languages Inc. Summer Camp Programs<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

        Starting in Summer 2025, we plan to offer a 6-week International Exchange Summer Camp<\/strong>\u00a0modeled after the Artsy English and Artsy Espa\u00f1<\/span>ol after school programs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

        We will also offer the option for a fully virtual participation in the program if preferred or necessary.\u00a0 Classes will be taught through a Learning Management System that is used by all students (both virtual and in person) for the academic and language activities as well as the management and organization of assignments. Also, in addition to language assignments, computers can be utilized for creation of art, music, and video.<\/p>\n

        Our summer programs teach a hybrid model of life skills (social-emotional, language, and communication) through the following hands-on creative activities that will be supplemented with cultural visits<\/strong> to local venues<\/strong> and field-based tourist excursions<\/strong>. \u00a0Examples of camper activities include:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

        • Learn life skills through Visual Arts Tourism:\u00a0 <\/strong>visiting local art museums and exhibits.<\/li>\n
        • Learn life skills through Music Tourism:\u00a0 <\/strong>visiting local concerts and music venues.<\/li>\n
        • Learn life skills through Theater\/Dramatic Arts Tourism:\u00a0 <\/strong>visiting local theater and comedy clubs.<\/li>\n
        • Learn life skills through Career and College Tourism <\/strong>(high school level only):\u00a0 visiting local colleges, meeting with local professionals in careers of interest, speaking with visiting teachers and consultants like financial advisors and mental health therapists, and other life skills workshops.<\/li>\n
        • Learn life skills through Culinary Arts Tourism <\/strong>(all age cohorts):\u00a0 visiting local restaurants and markets.<\/li>\n
        • Learn life skills through Kinesthetic Arts Tourism: \u00a0<\/strong>visiting local ballets, dance troupes, sports games and nature excursions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
